69% ABV - 1 Liter

Conceived by a star studded collection of Rum luminaries (Martin Cate from Smuggler's Cove in SF and Jeff "Beachbum" Berry amongst them) back in 2016, it's name O.F.T.D. allegedly stands for "Old Fashioned Traditional Dark". We have it on good authority that that is merely a cover story. It actually stands for "Oh F*ck That's Delicious!", though both things are certainly true. It's unusual 69% ABV is a full 20 degrees overproof to that of a classic British Navy Strength Rum. When mixed in equal parts with a 40% rum, you are left with the true British Navy strength.

Anyhow, enough messing about! This is really strong dark Rum from Guyana, Barbados and Jamaica. It's shockingly drinkable at that eye-popping proof but we don't recommend doing too much of that. Instead we'd use it judiciously in cocktails with other rums to add some character and oomph. It's great as a float on tiki cocktails and as a flamable component when needed (be careful with that too for the love Pete!). Fantastic aged overproof rum.
