Denizen Vatted Dark Rum

50% ABV

Blended Rum that is 80% from Diamond Distillers in Guyana and 20% unaged Rhum Agricole from La Favorite in Martinique. The Guyanese rum is a mixture of pot and column still rums of varying ages including a large percentage from an 18th century wooden pot still. The Rhum Agricole brings vibrance and a vegetal tang to compliment the tropical fruit and brown sugar richness of the stuff from DDL. A phenomenal rum for the price. 

Not too disimilar from the blend used by Vic "Trader Vic" Bergeron in his original Mai Tai, which was invented at his first restaurant Hinky Dinks, which was located about a quarter mile from our shop! For this reason, it's our choice of rum for a stunning and somewhat historically accurate version of that most amazing cocktail.
