Chairman's Reserve Original is the flagship Rum of St. Lucia Distillers. It is a blend of over 6 types of Rums made on 3 different still types and from both molasses and fresh pressed sugar cane juice. Coffey Column Still, John Dore Copper Pot and Kentucky Bourbon Vendome Pot Still Rums are aged in ex-Buffalo Trace barrels for an average of 5 years prior to blending and a further aging of 9-12 months to allow the different marques to marry in a barrel.

For an entry level Rum, this bottle WAY over delivers on flavor and quality. Caramelized banana notes with vanilla and toffee, a creamy mouthfeel, with some pleasant tobacco and chocolate notes for some balancing dryness.
