Made from wild Agave Marmorata (Tepeztate) that were 25 years old. Flavors and textures are varietally correct with those unmistakable Tep fruit flavors and silken mouthfeel with a briny and peppery finish. It also has an unusual and pleasant fresh corn tortilla note. FANTASTIC Tepeztate.

About Mezcal Dixeebe
Dixeebe (deej-bay) is a word from the indigenous Zapotec language of the central valleys of Oaxaca that is an expression of gratitude and connectedness to the moment. It is a toast and an expression of thanks. It is also the name of a Mezcal brand founded by Don Valentin Cortes, a 5th generation Maestro Mezcalero and his son Asìs. Their palenque is in Santiago Matatlan, Oaxaca, the "Mezcal Capital of the World". Their family founded Mezcal El Jolgorio and Nuestra Soledad which they are no longer affiliated with. Don Valentin had essentially retired from distilling until Asìs and some friends convinced him to begin production on a limited scale in 2022 and Mezcal Dixeebe was born. We are so grateful that Don Valentin has decided to share his amazing talents in mezcal production with us again!
