Made by the Carthusian Monks from the Chartreuse Abbey in the alpine town of Grenobles, France since 1605. The recipe is shrouded in mystery and lore as only 2 monks have the recipe of the finished product at any given time. Indescribably herbal and complex with notes of honey, saffron and anise.
