Bar Agricole Barrel Aged Curacao

46% ABV

Bar Agricole was a restaurant and bar in San Francisco founded by bartender, author, and entrepreneur Thad Vogler. A pioneering figure in the spirits business, he is a tireless champion of traditional production methods and heritage spirits. He started a spirits brand with the same name in collaboration with distiller Gena Nonini from Marian Farms in central California several years ago. Gena is a third generation farmer who initially purchased a still to make essential oils. She produces spirits from Demeter certified biodynamic grapes. This liqueur contains just 3 biodynamic ingredients; grape spirit, raw sugar, and oranges, aged together in a California Brandy barrel.

It is somewhat akin to Grand Marnier, in that it's a curacao/orange liqueur, but a bit sweeter and more viscous than a Dry Curacao. It is fantastic in a Presidente, Margarita, or even sipped neat as a digestif.
