Tio Pepe Palomino Fino Muy Seco Sherry

Tio Pepe is consistently the highest selling Sherry marque in the world. Made from 100% Palomino grapes from the area around Jerez de la Frontera, Spain, it ages biologically under flor, a lattice of yeast cells that forms naturally and protects the wine from oxidation while simultaneously consuming sugar, oxygen and even alcohol. It ages under flor for a minimum of 4 years prior to bottling. Bone dry with the nutty almond notes associated with the style as well as some grapefruit pithy citrus notes. A perfect aperitif wine that should be served chilled and accompanied by salty snacks like marcona almonds, jamon serrano, or salty cheeses.
