Martini & Rossi Riserva Speciale Ambrato Vermouth di Torino

Ambrato refers to the color of this Vermouth di Torino (amber). It's made from wines sourced from the local Piemonte region, primarily Moscato d'Asti DOCG. 3 types of Wormwood are sourced for this Vermouth by a local foraging cooperative; Absinthium, Vulgaris and Pontica. Chinchona bark, Chinese rhubarb, Roman Chamomile, and the types are wormwood are infused and then rested in Piemonte Tino oak barrels prior to blending with the base wine and lightly sweetened. It is lightly bitter, floral and honeyed with a dry and peppery finish. Just slightly sweeter than a regular Dry Vermouth, this is a wonderful addition to a Martini or other spirit driven, stirred cocktails.
