Cardamaro Vino Amaro

17% ABV

Wine-based Amaro made in Piemonte, Italy at a distillery founded in 1820. It is a "Cardoni" or cardoon-Amaro. Cardoons are a thistle that are related to artichokes. The botanicals are steeped in neutral spirit and then blended with local Moscato wine and sugar. 

Sort of like a cross between an Amaro and a bitter Vermouth as it is wine based, low ABV, and almost certainly contains wormwood. Complex herbal notes of wormwood, pine and ginger with a balanced bittersweetness. Refrigerate after opening.
