A bittersweet liqueur made by macerating bitter orange peels, quinine (aka "China" pronounced "KEE-NUH"), gentian and other botanicals into beet sugar spirit and then redistilled. It is sweetened and colored with caramel. A delightful aperitif over ice or with soda and a bit of citrus. It's also the best substitute in our humble opinion for the elusive Amer Picon, a cocktail ingredient from France that is no longer available in the US. If you want to make an authentic-ish Brooklyn or Picon Punch, this is the bottle for you.
