Classic Daiquiri Cocktail Kit

There is no cocktail that is both as DELICIOUS and as misunderstood as the Daiquiri. Just hearing the word makes many people think of giant, sugary, multicolored, slushy drinks, maybe served in a yard long plastic cup on Bourbon Street in New Orleans. There is a place for that kind of drink. We're definitely not against it in the right time/place.

But at its core, a Daiquiri is just Rum, Lime, and Sugar, shaken until frosty and served up. Simple. Balanced. "The Perfect Daiquiri" isn't really a thing. There are too many amazing Rums, each bringing it's own unique character to the Daiq. That said, this kit contains the makings of our ideal version of a classic White Rum Daiquiri. Probitas is a blend of rums from 2 of our favorite distilleries, Hampden Estate in Jamaica and Foursquare from Barbados. A bit of hogo funk from Hampden, some complexity and sweetness from Foursquare. And Liber & Co.'s Demerara Gum Syrup adds sweetness, body and complexity to the cocktail. Just add lime juice and voila! Our desert island Daiquiri.

The kit contains a bottle of Probitas Rum and a bottle of Liber & Co. Demerara Gum Syrup. 

The kit contains enough Rum for about 12 Daiquiris, a bit of extra syrup, and DOES NOT include the limes/juice.

Daiquiri
2oz Probitas Rum
3/4oz Fresh Lime
3/4oz Demerara Gum Syrup

Shake vigorously with ice and strain over fresh ice in a rocks glass. Garnish it with a lime wheel. Rinse and repeat.
