Lagavulin Offerman Edition 11 Year-Old Caribbean Rum Cask Finish

We here at Prizefighter HQ are no fans of Celebrity liquor brands. They are rarely made with quality in mind and are usually just a shameless, marketing-driven cash grab. 

But every once in a while, you'll find a true partnership that produces something special. The collaboration between Lagavulin and the actor and bon vivant Nick Offerman is perhaps the best example of that we've ever seen. Fans of the TV show Parks and Recreation will remember the love that the character Ron Swanson had for Lagavulin Scotch. This was born of Nick Offerman's love of it IRL. Lagavulin and Offerman partnered up for a limited series of "Offerman Edition" releases, including this 11 year old beauty. 

This 11 year old Lagavulin Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky is finished for an additional 8 months in ex-Caribbean Rum casks. That secondary maturation imparts some notes of tropical fruit and lemon meringue on top of the characteristic sweet, smoky, and sea-kissed malt character of Lagavulin. Bottled at 46% ABV without added color or chill filtration.
